Home School Partnership
Trumpington Park is committed to working in tandem with parents and carers in order to provide the best possible outcomes for all the children and families we work with.
We hold numerous events to help keep parents and carers informed about their child(ren)'s education and well-being within school, including bi-annual parents' evenings. Details are emailed.
In order to help children achieve their full potential, we kindly ask that parents endeavour to do the following:
- Help your child(ren) be ready for a successful day at school by ensuring they have had a good night's sleep; are wearing the correct uniform; have eaten a nutritious breakfast; and arrive at school between 8.30am and 8.45am.
- Read with your child(ren) at least three times a week for 20 minutes. Dependent on a child's age, confidence and stamina, this may be a mixture of you reading to them and them reading to you.
- Encourage your child(ren) to complete their weekly homework. This will include rehearsal of key mathematics skills and spelling practice. Please inform us if you require further support with the resources.
- Inform us of any changes at home that may affect your child's well-being and/or ability to learn so that we may suitably support your child whilst at school.
- Support the school's values and expectations.
