We aim to empower every child at Trumpington Park Primary to see themselves as an artist—curious, confident, and creative. Through a rich and inclusive art curriculum, we nurture children’s ability to explore ideas, experiment with materials, and express their individuality. We aim to cultivate creative thinkers who observe the world with imagination and empathy, appreciate diverse artistic traditions, and communicate their own stories through visual language. 

Our art curriculum will: 

• Inspire creativity and curiosity by providing opportunities for playful exploration and purposeful making. 
• Develop skills progressively, enabling children to master techniques across drawing, painting, sculpture, digital media, and craft. 
• Foster cultural awareness by engaging with artists, artworks, and traditions from a wide range of backgrounds and time periods. 
• Build resilience and confidence, encouraging children to take creative risks, solve problems, and reflect on their learning. 
• Celebrate every child’s voice, ensuring that art is accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for all learners.
